Clinical Strategy Engagement

We recently asked for your views on the Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) clinical strategy - this is the 5 year plan which aligns this trust to the Sustainability and Transformation Plan for Lincolnshire. The results of the engagement we undertook with a wide range of stakeholders can be found here.

We would like to continue this involvement with our members, patients and the public and find ways to better involve you in the decision making process. Please help us to do this by completing a short survey here.

Non-Executive Director Vacancies

LCHS is seeking two non-executive directors to join its Board.

The trust has two exciting opportunities ideal for a leader with proven experience in a commercial, customer-focused business, where quality and client management have been a priority, and for a clinician who has experience in delivering quality improvement at a strategic level.

Both successful candidates will have a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services. They will relish the opportunity to work for a fast-paced and innovative organisation, which is driven by a commitment to delivering great care, close to home. For more information please click here

Living with cancer

A pioneering new programme could re-shape how people live with and beyond cancer in Lincolnshire - and it needs your help. More people than ever are living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis in the UK. In Lincolnshire, support is provided by a number of different health and social care organisations, voluntary groups and charitable organisations.

The Living With and Beyond Cancer (LWABC) Programme will identify ways to provide seamless care and join up that support in the hope of helping people live as good a life as possible after a cancer diagnosis. However, it needs cancer patients, their carers and loved ones to kick-start the work by sharing their experiences.

The programme is being spearheaded by NHS Lincolnshire West Clinical Commissioning Group and Macmillan Cancer Support. A survey is available at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BeyondCancer and will run until Friday, February 24, 2017. Paper copies are also available upon request via Mark Lupton at Healthwatch Lincolnshire: mark.lupton@healthwatchlincolnshire.co.uk or 01205 820892.

Cancer patients, their loved ones, carers, and health professionals are also invited to attend an event on Wednesday, March 25, 2017, 10am-3pm at Ruston Marconi Sports Centre, Lincoln LN6 8RN to help shape this exciting new cancer programme for Lincolnshire.
