  • Mums-to-be living in Grantham and the surrounding area can now access additional specialist support to lead a healthier lifestyle throughout their pregnancy. 

    Bumps and Beyond has expanded to include clinics at Grantham and District Hospital, after successfully supporting more than 1,000 women in the Boston and Lincoln areas since April 2012.

    The service, which is run by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, provides information and advice to pregnant women with a BMI of 35 or above.

  • Families and staff at Gainsborough's Baby Café will be celebrating its fourth anniversary with a special birthday bash.

    Visitors old and new are being invited to join the party and enjoy a slice of cake on Tuesday, January 21, at 12pm.

    The café, which is run by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), has been open since 2010 to offer weekly help and support from both skilled health professionals and other mums.

    Caroline Fisher, Health Visitor at LCHS, said: "We're delighted to be celebrating our fourth year in Gainsborough.

  • Future health visitors, sponsored to train in Lincolnshire, will start studying for their qualification this month.

    The intake will be the latest supported by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) as part of a national recruitment drive to increase the number of health visitors available to support families.

    Health visitors provide care, advice and support to families from pre-birth and at regular intervals until the child starts school.
