P_HR_46 Grievances (Individual and Collective) Policy

 LCHS recognise that in the course of their employment individual staff or groups of staff collectively may at times feel aggrieved and have the right to seek redress for grievances related to their employment.

 The organisation expects day to day management should deal with the majority of staffing issues so that a resolution can be agreed informally. Where this is not possible this policy should be used to deal with a grievance formally ensuring fairness and consistency and a speedy conclusion.

The following procedure should be adopted where an employee has a grievance arising from their employment, except where the matter constitutes an appeal against a disciplinary decision, in which case it should be pursued through the Disciplinary Policy and Procedure including Investigation Process.
