Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) provide services for people across the life course, so have a crucial role to play in all areas of care, to improve the health and wellbeing of the general population.
AHPs are the third largest workforce within the NHS, and there are 14 different professions which hold the title of AHP.
At LCHS, we employ apprentices as entry into the organisation and we also offer ongoing apprenticeship training for staff at all levels. We have the below AHP qualifications:
Level 3:
- Senior Healthcare Support Worker with AHP Pathways in: Podiatry, Speech and Language, Physio, Occupational Therapy, Children and Young person service
Level 5:
- Assistant Practitioner
Level 6:
- Speech and Language Degree
- Physio Degree
- Occupational therapy Degree

Our nurses work in a range of inpatient and community settings, including, urgent care, community hospitals and nursing care within your home.
No two days are the same in nursing – it’s one of the most dynamic and rewarding roles within the NHS.
At LCHS, we employ apprentices as entry into the organisation and we also offer ongoing apprenticeship training for staff at all levels. We have the below nursing qualifications:
Level 2
- Healthcare Support Worker
Level 3
- Senior Healthcare Support Worker
- Adult Nursing Support
Level 5
- Nurse Associate
Level 6
- Registered Nurse Degree
