Covid Medication Delivery Unit

The Covid Medication Delivery Unit supports the delivery of COVID-19 antiviral medication for vulnerable patients.

The Clinical Assessment Service provides telephone assessments to review if the patient is eligible for treatment and either prescribes oral antiviral medication or refers the patient for IV treatment.

The aim of the antiviral medication is to try to lessen the symptoms of COVID-19 for vulnerable patients and reduce hospital admissions due to COVID-19.

Patients should consult their GP who will provide details of the service and the process for referral.
