Be cautious of Cupid this Valentine's
Posted on: 13th February 2017
Love is in the air as Valentine's Day will be celebrated across the county tomorrow.
It is easy to get swept away with the romance of Valentine's Day, but it is important to remember to take care of your sexual health.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) Sexual Health Service holds countywide clinics offering a range of appointments, including 'FLY-BYE'.
Susan Collins, Sexual Health Nurse Consultant at LCHS, said: "If you are entering into a new relationship it is always a good idea to have a sexual health screen for peace of mind. FLY-BYE clinics offer a fifteen minute appointment to those who are symptom-free, with a specially trained health care support worker.
"If you are already in a relationship, it is still important not too take unnecessary risks. Our sexual health service provides a flexible, non-judgemental, confidential service to anyone who needs it for sexually transmitted infection/HIV advice, screening and treatment and/or contraceptive health needs."
Chlamydia screening and C-card services can be accessed across the county in various locations including local pharmacies and sexual health clinics. These locations can be found on our website.
To book an appointment, including 'FLY-BYE', call the central booking line number on 01522 539145 (8am-6.30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday).
