Community health services recruitment open day, Saturday, 7 September

Posted on: 20th August 2019

Extraordinary people who can help to deliver great care in community-based NHS services are invited to a recruitment open day next month.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) will be hosting the event at Beech House, Lincoln, LN5 7JH, from 11am until 3pm on Saturday, 7 September.

LCHS cares for thousands of people across the whole of Lincolnshire every week, helping them to manage their health at home or in the local community and reducing the need for hospital admission.

Services include specialist and community nursing and therapies, sexual health, podiatry and urgent care services like the GP Out of Hours Service. The Trust also provides care at four community hospitals in Louth, Skegness, Gainsborough and Spalding.

Visitors will be able to meet staff from a variety of LCHS's services, get advice on how to complete successful job applications, pick up interview tips, and find out about the wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles available, including apprenticeship and training opportunities.

There are career opportunities for doctors, nurses, therapists, scientific and technical staff, administration and management jobs and roles in information technology, human resources (HR), finance and strategy.

The event will also include information on the many benefits of working for LCHS, including demonstrations of our commitment to staff health and wellbeing, self-care, investing in our people and how we use technology to work more efficiently. For example the Trust offers yoga classes, craft groups and free health checks.

In addition, the Lincolnshire Talent Academy and Lincolnshire Allied Health Professionals Council will share the opportunities available throughout Lincolnshire across the three NHS Trusts, Primary Care, Social Care, Lincolnshire County Council and East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Kerry Swift, Head of HR said: "We're looking for exceptional people to join our team in a range of roles, which all contribute to delivering great care to patients. Not only is Lincolnshire a beautiful place to live, working for the Trust offers a range of benefits, including professional development and attractive employment terms.

“LCHS is rated 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission and delivered on its financial obligations in the last year.

“We look forward to welcoming anyone interested in working for us on Saturday, 7 September."

Anyone unable to make it on the day is welcome to contact LCHS HR team on 01522 308700 to discuss available opportunities.
