Donation Aids Patient Rehabilitation in Louth

Patients at County Hospital, Louth, will benefit from new equipment during their rehabilitation, thanks to a generous donation.
The hospital's League of Friends has kindly donated new specialist furniture to Carlton Ward, worth £7,000.
Two new adjustable chairs can aid rehabilitation following stroke or other debilitating illnesses, while a further item of equipment will help patients to get from a sitting to standing position.
The equipment is in use daily and has already significantly improved patients' rehabilitation prospects.
Vivienne Benson, Ward Sister for Carlton Ward, which is managed by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: "I would like to thank the League of Friends, who work tirelessly to ensure all visits to County Hospital are as pleasant and comfortable as possible. This generous donation will really help with the rehabilitation of the patients on the ward. It will also assist the nursing and therapy staff in the provision of care and provide further support for patients with complex rehabilitation needs."
Barbara Boobyer, Chairman for the League of Friends, said: "We are delighted to be able to provide this equipment for the patients of our much loved Louth Hospital and will continue to support and provide this valued equipment."
