Huge success for the NHS Big Tea Party
Posted on: 10th August 2022
Lincolnshire NHS Charity hosted its biggest event to date. The fun-filled family featured a range of activities, including live music performances, a bouncy castle, a raffle and food and drink stalls to celebrate the NHS’s 74th birthday last month.
In total, the charity raised £1,510, this money was raised by the NHS Big Tea Party at Jakemans Community Stadium and the NHS Big Tea raffle.
The event was generously supported by many local businesses. The star prize for the raffle consisted of cocktail hamper worth £120, jointly donated by DrinksbyDrury, Drurys Estate Agents and Poyntons Consultancy in Boston.
All money raised from the event will go to the Lincolnshire NHS and United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charities to support the health and wellbeing of NHS staff across the county. Previous fundraising efforts supported staff wellbeing schemes, such as, sports groups, improving wellbeing spaces at work and books for the staff library.
Charlotte Lenton, Charity Fundraising Assistant for Lincolnshire NHS Charity, said: “We are delighted to have raised £1,510 at our NHS Big Tea Party. I’d like to thank all the local residents who came to show their support and all the local businesses who got behind this event to make it a great success.
“We hope to come back next year when the NHS will be celebrating its 75th birthday and have more fundraising opportunities to support both NHS charities.”
