Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) has welcomed a new non-executive director to its Board.
Elizabeth (Liz) Libiszewski has been confirmed to the position by NHS Improvement.
Liz brings a wealth of clinical experience to LCHS's Board, having worked as a nurse in the NHS for 36 years. She completed her training in Nottingham and spent most of her career working in intensive care. Liz worked in Lincolnshire from 1995 to 2008.
Liz has held a variety of senior leadership roles, including as a director responsible for nursing, quality and performance in a number of NHS trusts. Before her retirement in May 2016, she was director of nursing and quality and deputy chief executive at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Norfolk.
She held an honorary professorship at the University of East Anglia for her contributions in supporting leadership and workforce development.
Liz said: "I am delighted and privileged to join the Board at LCHS. This is an exciting time to be helping to shape the future of health services, particularly in the community where we support people to remain healthy and independent at home. I hope my experiences will support me to give something back and make a valuable contribution to our local healthcare system."
Liz has been appointed until April 30, 2019, and is entitled to receive a remuneration of £6,157 per annum. She has declared no political activity in the last five years.
NHS Improvement has also extended the terms of office for two of LCHS's non-executive directors. Murray Macdonald will continue to serve until June 5, 2019, while Kevin Lockyer will remain in post until July 31, 2019.
