New women’s health app, CONNECTPlus, launched in Lincolnshire

Posted on: 10th March 2025

Want to find out about contraception options?  Need information on dealing with the menopause?  Perhaps you are looking to find what cervical screening is available locally?  Or it might be that you just need general women’s health advice around pre-conception care, breast pain or STI screening?

Answers to these common queries and more are now available at your fingertips thanks to a newly launched app for women in Lincolnshire to coincide with International Women’s Day on Saturday 8 March 2025..

The Women’s Health App CONNECTPlus developed by Health and Care Innovations Ltd contains advice and guidance on a wide range of female wellbeing, from breast pain, pessary fitting, pelvic health to information about violence against young girls and women.

Clair Raybould, Executive Director for System Delivery and Women’s Health Champion, NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board said:

“Women have told us that they want to take charge of their wellbeing and we want to support them, and the CONNECTPlus app is here to help. This app provides trusted and useful information to help women understand their bodies better and navigate the health and care options available in Lincolnshire.

The CONNECTPlus app also aims to dispel myths and advise women on when to seek help. I encourage every woman in the county to download the app and discover the wide range of services at their fingertips.”

The results of the 2021 national ‘Women’s Health – Let’s talk about it’ survey showed that out of nearly 100,000 respondents, only 17% of respondents felt they had enough information on menstrual wellbeing, while only 9% felt they had sufficient information about the menopause and only 8% felt they had sufficient information about a range of gynaecological conditions including endometriosis and fibroids .  In addition, a recurring theme seemed to be about healthcare professionals not listening.

You can now download the CONNECTPlus app for free on any mobile device, including tablets and smartphones!

Available on both the Google Play Store and the App Store, this provides you with a great selection of Women’s Health information right to your fingertips.
