NHS Trust seeks two non-executive directors

Posted on: 7th February 2017

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) is seeking two non-executive directors to join its Board.

The trust has two exciting opportunities ideal for a leader with proven experience in a commercial, customer-focused business, where quality and client management have been a priority, and for a clinician who has experience in delivering quality improvement at a strategic level.

Both successful candidates will have a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services.

They will relish the opportunity to work for a fast-paced and innovative organisation, which is driven by a commitment to delivering great care, close to home.

LCHS provides a wide range of community health services across Lincolnshire, including running services at four community hospitals and their urgent care centres and minor injury units, while specialist nurses and teams of therapists work to keep people out of hospital, or get them home sooner.

Out of hours services, Lincoln's Walk In Centre and Peterborough Minor Illness and Injury Unit provide primary health care to patients, and the trust is dedicated to improving the whole family's health through services including children's therapies, sexual health and podiatry.

LCHS has been rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission and is one of only 28 trusts nationally to be classed as a segment one organisation by NHS Improvement, which means it has maximum autonomy over the decisions it makes.

LCHS Chair Elaine Baylis QPM said: "Both of these roles are ideal for someone who shares our Board's passion and vision for ensuring we deliver the best possible services for our communities. The suitable candidates have the strategic experience and leadership skills to challenge, inspire and influence the trust's operations, and in particular we are looking for a candidate with proven commercial business experience within a customer-focused industry, and another with a clinical background and experience of quality improvement. Both roles will be pivotal in supporting the trust to adapt to the ever-changing demands of leading a successful healthcare organisation."

To arrange an informal discussion about the role, contact Mrs Baylis via Bev Wormald, Trust Board Secretary, on 01522 308956.
