Online booking system now available for sexual health appointments in Lincolnshire
Posted on: 4th May 2017
Lincolnshire residents in need of a sexual health appointment can now book in to their local clinic online.
The new online booking system allows new and existing patients to access appointments across the county for the forthcoming 48 hour period.
Once registered, users will be able to choose the right type of appointment for their needs, including testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) with or without symptoms, Fly-Bye clinics, HIV testing and routine and emergency contraception. All contraception provision will be dependent on full clinical assessment.
A simple postcode search will bring up available clinics within the local area.
The booking system can be accessed by visiting https://lincolnshiresexualhealth.nhs.uk/.
Paula Moody, strategic lead for adult public health services at Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: "Over the last few months, we have been actively working to improve the quality, access and efficiency of our telephone and central booking lines. This has been in response to feedback we received which suggested the experiences of our service users had not been of the standard we expect. The online booking system makes it quick and easy to book an appointment no matter where you are or what time of the day it is, and support our telephone lines which have been improved to allow more calls to be answered at one time."
The central booking line (01522 309309) can still be used to book appointments at any of Lincolnshire's sexual health clinics, from 8am-6.30pm Monday to Thursday, or 8am-4.30pm on Fridays.
