Posted on: 24th August 2015

A new sexual health service, led by the school nursing team of Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), is now available to young people in Boston.

Every Tuesday between 3:30 and 4:30pm at Boston Health Clinic, Lincolnshire residents aged between 13 and 19 years can seek sexual health advice and support at drop-in clinics led by LCHS school nurses and sexual health team.

The sessions are free and confidential, regardless of relationship status, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Visitors to the drop in clinics will have access to C-Card registration, condoms, chlamydia testing and the Emergency Hormonal Contraceptive, as well as professional advice and guidance from trained nurses.

Wendy Burton, Locality Lead for LCHS, said: "Throughout the year our school nurses are available for that much-needed advice and support except for two weeks over the Christmas period.

"They can offer young people information on relationships, healthy lifestyles, alcohol and drugs, keeping safe, free chlamydia tests, emergency contraception and the C-Card service. Please do feel free to drop-in or book an appointment in advance, we are here to help and support."

The Boston Health Clinic is located on Lincoln Lane, PE21 8RU.
