Posted on: 12th December 2019
Jane Pannell was one of three LCHS finalists at the Lincolnshire Live Healthcare Awards 2019 and was nominated for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Healthcare staff from across the county were honoured for their hard work and achievements at the awards ceremony in Lincoln last month.
However Jane was on holiday at the time and unable to attend the ceremony, so on Monday, 2 December, LCHS CEO Maz Fosh presented Jane with her trophy and certificate.
Jane who works at Johnson Hospital, Spalding was honoured her work around clinics and wards in Spalding.
Her nomination form described Jane as a great source of knowledge who was a leading example to others. Colleagues say 'what Jane doesn't know, probably isn't worth knowing'.
Jane is a caring healthcare professional, a pleasure to work with and an ‘absolute credit to the team and the NHS’.
Jane said: “I was thrilled and a little overwhelmed to receive this award. I feel proud to have worked in the NHS for 42 years; my whole career.
“I love caring for local people and being part of a team that has supported each other through the years.
“I am now enjoying working part time before my retirement.”
Maz Fosh added: “I was extremely delighted to present Jane with this award. She is a highly respected member of staff and truly deserves this award for her dedication and commitment to LCHS and the NHS.”
