Staff members organise a Spring Ball to raise funds for Skegness Hospital

Posted on: 7th February 2020

Staff members from Gloucester Ward at Skegness Hospital are holding a Spring Ball on Saturday, 30 May 2020 between 7pm – 1am at Grosvenor House Hotel, Skegness. The event is being held to raise money for a new project to build a therapy and sensory garden for Gloucester Ward.

The Spring Ball is a black tie event and will include a three course meal, live entertainment, a raffle with a range of exciting prizes and to finish the evening there will be a DJ. The tickets for the Spring Ball cost £40 per person or at a reduced rate if sold as a full table of 10 or 12.

The wards at Skegness Hospital are managed by Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS), the primary community healthcare provider in Lincolnshire delivering community-based services aimed at supporting people to manage their own health at home and reducing the need for people to go into hospital.

All money raised will go through the Trust’s charity; Charitable Funds. Charitable Funds is an independent charity that plays a vital role in supporting LCHS to make a difference to patient care providing enhanced services and facilities that would not normally be funded by the NHS.

Kirsty Williams, Healthcare Support Worker and wellbeing officer said: “We are very excited to hold this ball in Skegness. All of the money raised at the event will go towards improving the quality of care for our patients by building a therapy and sensory garden for Gloucester Ward at Skegness Hospital. So please join us for a great night of fun, for a truly great cause.”
