Course overview

This is a half day course to provide an overview and theoretical instruction of basic bowel care to include conservative treatments, Digital rectal stimulation and Digital removal of faeces.

Course Duration

Half day programme from 13:00pm to 17:00pm

Objectives

Anatomy of the lower intestinal tract

Information about conservative treatments to include dietary advice, defecation dynamics and laxatives

Practical session with Manikin to undertake DRS and DRF training

Case histories and Legal aspects of bowel care
